What You'll Learn


In the DNP program, you will learn to:

    The NFLP grant pays for tuition and books for students with their MS(N) taking DNP along with Nursing Education Certification Courses.

    The NFLP eligibility is:

    1. Acceptance into the DNP program
    2. A FASFA application
    3. Completing a demographic questionnaire
    4. Signing an anticipated plan of study

    The NFLP recipients will be advised and sign a promissory note.

    The NFLP grant funds are forgiven at 85% when graduates teach/precept/mentor/educator full-time for 4 academic years in program of nursing or in the clinical area.

Admission Requirements


  • Applicant Requirements

    Applicants must have:

    • An MSN degree from a regionally accredited higher education institution and a nationally accredited school of nursing. CCNE, CNEA or ACEN OR a BSN degree from a nationally accredited school of nursing and a master's degree in a related discipline from a regionally accredited higher education institution
    • A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher in the master’s program
    • A current valid unencumbered registered nurse license in the United States
    • Relevant professional work experience is recommended
  • What You'll Need to Apply

    As part of your application, you'll need to submit:

    • Names and contact information for two academic and/or professional references
    • Well-written scholarly essay (instructions)
    • Current resumé

    After you have completed your application, please upload your essay and resume. You'll then complete an interview with the Admissions Committee.
