Steps to Apply

Applying to TESU is simple.

First, get to know our admissions requirements. When you're ready, create your applicant profile and submit your application through our online portal. See all the steps to apply below. If you have questions, our Admissions and Enrollment Counselors are here to help.

Step 1. Get to Know Our Requirements

To be considered for admission to TESU, your admissions requirements will be determined by the program level you are applying to and the applicant category that best describes you.

Step 2. Create Your Applicant Profile

Everyone who applies to TESU does so through our online application portal.

Create a login in the application portal so you can start and stop your application before submitting and check your application status at any time.

As part of your new profile, you’ll be asked to share personal information, your military status and partner company affiliation (if applicable), as well as the program to which you're interested in applying.

Step 3. Complete the Application

With your new applicant profile, you can use your login credentials to start your application at any time. And since the entire process is completely online, you can save your progress and complete your application on your own time.

To submit your application, a $50 nonrefundable application fee is required. This fee may be waived for certain applicants.*

Application Deadlines

We operate on a rolling admissions cycle, meaning there are no strict deadlines to apply. However, some master's and doctoral programs only admit students during certain months of the year. Check our graduate admissions requirements to see if your specific program has an application deadline.

Step 4. Submit Your Transcripts

Although official transcripts are not required for undergraduate admission (with the exception of our nursing programs), we recommend you send them so that they can be reviewed under our comprehensive transfer credit policy.

If you are applying to a TESU graduate program, your official undergraduate transcripts are required. Official transcripts must be sent directly to TESU from the institution that awarded your bachelor's degree.

Transfer Credits to TESU

If you earned college-level credits in high school or at another college or university, TESU will evaluate those credits for transfer. We are also committed to evaluating and granting college credit for your military experience, prior education, certifications, training and other work and life-learning experiences. Those credits are applied toward your degree progress at TESU so you can reach your goals while saving time and money.

Transferring college credits to TESU requires submission of your official transcripts. Learn more about transferring credit.

Step 5. Submit Additional Materials

You may need to supply additional documents as part of your application.

Additional documents or materials may include a personal statement, essay, or letters of recommendation.

Step 7. Receive Your Decision and Enroll

Once your entire application process is complete and all documents have been submitted, your final step is to wait for your admissions decision. This process usually takes one to two business days once you’ve completed all the application requirements.

Once you receive your admissions decision from TESU, we welcome you to enroll and start taking courses.
