Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Nuclear Medicine Technology
Expand your skills and enhance your professional growth as a nuclear medicine technologist with a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree with an area of study in Nuclear Medicine Technology at Thomas Edison State University (TESU). Our 120-credit program is limited to licensed and registered nuclear medicine technologists. Dive into highly specialized coursework in radiation, nuclear physics, nuclear medicine techniques, radiopharmacy and more, and learn how to use nuclear medicine as an imaging health science to diagnose and treat disease. A total of 18 Area of Study credits must be from 3000/4000 level courses.

Degree Requirements
The following courses are required for the BS degree with an area of study in Nuclear Medicine Technology and can be fulfilled in either the General Education or Electives sections of the degree chart.
- Statistics (3 credits)
- College Algebra (3 credits)
- Higher Level Math above College Algebra (3 credits)
- Anatomy and Physiology I with Lab (4 credits)
- Anatomy and Physiology II with Lab (4 credits)
- Chemistry I with Lab (4 credits)
- Chemistry II with Lab (4 credits)
- Physics I with Lab (4 credits)
Certification: ARRT Nuclear Medicine Technologist ARRT-RT (N) or NMTCB-CNMT or NJ-LNMT (copy of original certificate and current renewal card).
How Students Earn Credit in the Area of Study: The certification covers almost all of the credits required in the area of study.A second certification (radiography, radiation therapy or radiation protection) would complete the area of study, except for the capstone course APS-401 Current Trends and Applications.
Note: Courses listed in the Area of Study are offered as a guide. Other courses may also be considered appropriate for the program. The inclusion of similar courses must be reviewed by the Evaluation team. Students must submit their program plan for review to ensure that course selection is appropriate for the degree.
