- ASCP or AMT
- MLT or MT or NCA
- CLS or CLT

Degree Requirements
The following courses are required for the A.S. degree program with an area of study in Clinical Laboratory Science and can be fulfilled in either the General Education or Electives sections of the degree chart.
- College Algebra (3 credits)
- Chemistry I with Lab (4 credits)
- Chemistry II with Lab (4 credits)
Certification: ASCP or AMT: MLT or MT or NCA: CLS or CLT copy of original certificate and current renewal card.
How Students Earn Credit in the Option: Students whose medical laboratory technology training was not completed in a college credit setting should have no difficulty earning credits by Prior Learning Assessment (PLA) for their options, assuming current for recent employment using a variety of laboratory methods.
Note: Courses listed in the Area of Study are offered as a guide. Other courses may also be considered appropriate for the program. The inclusion of similar courses must be reviewed by the Evaluation team. Students must submit their program plan for review to ensure that course selection is appropriate for the degree.
