Associate in Science (A.S.) in Aviation Flight Technology

Build a career in the rapidly growing aviation industry with an Associate in Science (AS) degree program with an area of study in Aviation Flight Technology from Thomas Edison State University (TESU). Our 60-credit program is designed for students who are FAA-licensed commercial pilots with instrument ratings. At TESU completing your AS degree can be quicker than ever by earning credit for your previous military training.

Degree Requirements

The following courses are required for the AS degree program with an area of study in Aviation Flight Technology and can be fulfilled in either the General Education or Electives sections of the degree chart.

• College Algebra (3 credits)
• Physics I with Lab (4 credits)
• Physics II with Lab (4 credits)

Certification: FAA license as a Commercial Pilot with Instrument Rating. Equivalent military training may be considered.

How Students Earn Credit in the Option: Students options are completed by the license, depending on ratings.

The inclusion of similar courses must be reviewed by the Evaluation team. Students must submit their program plan for review to ensure that course selection is appropriate for the degree.
