Associate in Science (A.S.) in Air Traffic Control
The Associate in Science degree program with an area of study in Air Traffic Control from Thomas Edison State University (TESU) prepares you for an exciting career coordinating the movement of air traffic and guiding pilots during takeoff and landing. Our 60-credit program is designed specifically for students who have an FAA Control Tower Operator certification or an FAA Credential with Tower Rating.

Degree Requirements
The following courses are required for the AS degree program with an area of study in Air Traffic Control and can be fulfilled in either the General Education or Electives sections of the degree chart.
- College Algebra (3 credits)
- Physics I with Lab (4 credits)
- Physics II with Lab (4 credits)
Certification: FAA Control Tower Operator or FAA Credential with Tower Rating.
How Students Earn Credit in the Option: Students options are completed by the license, depending on ratings.

- Courses listed in the Area of Study are offered as a guide. Other courses may also be considered appropriate for the program. The inclusion of similar courses must be reviewed by the Evaluation team. Students must submit their program plan for review to ensure that course selection is appropriate for the degree.
- Some Areas of study require mathematics at the level of precalculus algebra and calculus.
