Monitoring Compliance with the NRC Service Agreement
If you are awarded and accept a NRC Scholarship, you are obligated to fulfill the requirements of the NRC Service Agreement. The University will monitor these as NRC penalties may be imposed due to noncompliance.
- Serve 6 months in nuclear related employment for each partial or full year of academic support. An inability to comply must be communicated to the NRC by the student with justification for any request for an exception.
- Remain matriculated in the degree program for the field of study for which the scholarship was approved. At TESU, this means the student will maintain continuous enrollment until graduation. Withdrawal, Stop-Out or becoming an Inactive student will cause the full amount of the scholarship to be cancelled and you will be billed the amount of any funds used.
- Maintain satisfactory academic progress in the recipient’s field of study, as demonstrated by maintaining a 3.0 GPA overall and within the major (area of study). Failure to maintain the minimum GPA will initiate academic probation for the next term of courses, and could result in cancellation of the scholarship if the GPA is not sufficiently improved.
- Maintain a course load of at least 6 credit hours per term, four times per year. At TESU this means a minimum of 24 credits earned during your 12 month enrollment year. Failure to complete 24 credits each enrollment year may affect the scholarship award including cancellation.
