Satisfactory Academic Progress for NJNGTP Students
Students receiving a tuition waiver under the NJNGTP will be reviewed for Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP).
Similar to the Financial Aid requirement, SAP under the NJNGTP is defined as having a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 for undergraduate or 3.0 for graduate programs of study, and successfully completing at least 2/3rds of attempted courses. Students submitting their NJNGTP Registration Form must be making SAP. If it is determined that a student is not meeting satisfactory progress, an appeal for additional terms must then be submitted to finaid@tesu.edu. If the appeal is granted, students will then be allowed a probationary term. Approval for additional terms cannot be considered until the results of the probationary term (grades and withdrawal status) are recorded.
Engagement in Coursework for NJNGTP Students
Another requirement for eligibility under the NJNGTP is that students be engaged in academically related activity (such as Discussion Board, assignments, tests). Failure to do so could jeopardize waiver eligibility for the term.
