Course Code Descriptions
Each Thomas Edison State University course/transfer course equivalency is given a unique identifier number which begins with a three letter departmental code (to represent the department in which the course, based on academic content) belongs. The departmental code is followed by four digits to signify the course level based on academic content. Generally, course levels (lower, upper and graduate) correlate with the difficulty of the course.
1000-2990 lower division (undergraduate)
3000-4990 upper division (undergraduate)
5000-8990 graduate courses
