Heavin School of Social Sciences, Humanities, and Education

The Heavin School of Social Sciences, Humanities, and Education provides an interdisciplinary approach to lifelong learning for adult learners interested in exploring values inherent in the liberal arts, humanities, natural sciences and social sciences. The curriculum for liberal arts programs delves into a specialized depth of knowledge through areas of study, combined with the breadth of general education.

The School is named in honor of Gary Heavin '02, and his wife, Diane, whose generous support of the University has played a key role in the creation of new academic programs and provided the Thomas Edison State University Foundation with a significant addition to its endowment.
