Guided Study Courses
At Thomas Edison State University, Guided Study courses are one of many ways to earn credit and use methods designed specifically with the adult learner in mind.
How Guided Study Courses Work
In these 12-week, distance-learning courses, students complete their assignments independently using texts, study guides, video and audio recordings, CD-ROM, DVD, streaming video and other materials. A mentor works with each student, by email or telephone, answering questions and grading work. Students take proctored midterm and final exams via the Online Proctor Service (OPS).
