Bachelor of Science in General Management

The Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Management from Thomas Edison State University (TESU) is a 120-credit, online degree program that provides the business knowledge and decision-making and problem-solving skills you need to effectively and efficiently manage staff, develop workable action plans, accomplish major goals, and thrive in a rapidly changing, dynamic and competitive global business environment

Immerse yourself in our leadership-building curriculum that includes courses in accounting, finance, marketing, economics, quantitative analysis, communications and business law. Your degree will culminate with a capstone project that integrates content from across the program and validates your knowledge in strategic management.

Degree Requirements Credits
The following courses are required for the BSBA degree in General Management and are fulfilled in the General Education section of the degree chart. 6
  • College Algebra or Quantitative Business Analysis within Intellectual and Practical Skills section of General Education requirements.

How Students Earn Credit in the Area of Study: All credits in this area of study may be completed with Thomas Edison State University courses and/or exams.

Note 1: The above list of subjects is offered as a guide. Other subjects may also be considered appropriate for this area of study.

Note 2: Consumer Finance (Personal Finance) and Supervision for Service cannot be included in the major area of study because of the fundamental nature of these subjects.

Note 3: TESU course refers to the University’s own course offering of Guided Study, online or Contract Learning courses.

Note 4: TESU examination refers to the University’s own exam program — TECEP®

Note 5: Other subjects listed can either be courses transferred from other colleges/universities or credits earned through Prior Learning Assessment (PLA).

It is strongly recommended that all BS/BSBA students, regardless of area of study, include a business ethics subject as part of the general education or electives component of their degree.
